Who We Are

Our tag-line is "Reignited and Reunited". Our goal is to build the sport of ice stock back to a level of participation that was reminiscent of years ago and beyond. Additionally, the playing of this sport will allow the many people, who have had connections to this sport (pioneers right up to the newcomers) to continue to come together for experience and social fun. We also want to build the sport with the inclusion of all players: men, women and youngsters too! Ice Stock Sport can be played by all different shapes and sizes, by young and old, people with differences and by both sexes! Our goal is to grow the sport, to play and compete as a diverse group with a common interest in doing something that combines athleticism, mental focus and social togetherness.

Currently in... "ICE STOCK SPORT SEASON"

As we await the ice to form on our local lakes and ponds, our club is wrapping up the Stock Sport "asphalt" season.  2016 for KAISC was a successful one both on ice and on asphalt.  From our KAISC members who participated in the World Championships, winning the CANADIAN ICE STOCK CHAMPIONSHIPS, the ONTARIO MASTERS LEAGUE Trophy and the ONTARIO CHAMPIONSHIP tournament... we look forward to keep on "stocking" in 2017!

As we approach the 4th KAISC ice season, we hope to continue to attract newcomers to the sport and build upon the success that we have all worked hard to achieve.  This past year, through the efforts of our members, we have official target shooting lanes at Centennial Park. We also had our first KAISC family "Fishing Derby".  Next year we are looking to a golf tournament as another way to add the "social" which is critically important to our club.

The club has a few extra stocks for folks to give this super fun sport a try.  Chances are, once you try it once, you will soon want a STOCK of your own.  The combination of the great company of our club and the friendly competition this sport provides will have you hooked.

Contact us if you want to get your STOCK ON!

For the first time in the Canadian Ice Stock Federation's history, the KAISC took home the Ontario Master's Trophy.  This achievement is a result of our club earning the highest point total through monthly tournaments from May until November.  Congrats to all of our competitive members for their dedication and commitment!

KAISC Club "Fun" Tournament 2016

Mother Nature just didn't allow us to play our summer season tournament outdoors, but that didn't stop the KAISC!  Instead we grabbed the mini-stocks and went indoors and had a "Halloween Tournament"!  Congrats to Paul Blais, Scott Darling, Scotty Richards and Neil Pond as the 2016 Summer KAISC Champions!

Playing in the Group B Pool, Our Canadian Women had to really fight hard in the second round to secure their 3rd place finish.  Congrats Jen, Stefanie, Kata and Natasha on your success and good luck in your future opportunities.

Above we have the Canadian Ice Stock Team making their entrance at the Opening Ceremonies of the 2106 World Championships of Ice Stock in Ritten, Italy (Sud Tirol).  In the middle is Jamie Babcock and to the right is Pail Blais (both of the KASIC0 in action!

This was a great learning experience for our Canadian Men's team that was made of all first time participants at the World Championships.

To support the Canadian Ice Stock Teams, the KAISC went above and beyond donating in three different fundraiser.  One of the highlights was hosted in Rockport at Erich and Norm's Ice Stock paradise!  Additionally, post our Feb Fest Ice Stock Demonstration we attended an awesome gathering at the Amadeus Cafe for a super dinner and, of course, some great beverages!  Finally, after our own KAISC Winter Tournament, we met at our Headquarters (AKA "Dave's Garage") for a fish-fry.  So much fun.  Altogether, the KASIC raised around $1000 for the teams!!!

Ice Stock Demonstrations 2016: growing the sport

KAISC Participated in Skate the Lake, The Odessa Winter Carnival and the 2016 Feb Fest in downtown Kingston. Skate the Lake was a great success and a wonderful opportunity to showcase our sport at a really neat event.  Although it was extremely cold, we had a great turn out and folks got to see the game and try it.  Also, we were able to have curling and ice stock side-by-side for people to see.  And we were back at Odessa's Winter Carnival!  Feb Fest... What an amazing setting and a potential spot to host a tournament in the future!
